WHAT IS A VISITOR VISA?

  • A type of visa that is given to foreigners who plan to travel to Indonesian territory for government visits, educational, socio-cultural, tourism, business, family and journalistic purposes, or stopovers for trips to other countries.

VISITOR VISA CONSISTS OF

  • 01. Visa for a single trip/entry
  • 02. Visa for multiple trips/entries
  • 03. Visa on arrival

01. VISITOR VISA FOR A SINGLE TRIP/ENTRY

A visit visa for 1 (one) trip/SINGLE ENTRY is given to foreigners to stay in the Indonesian Territory for a maximum of 60 days, extendable for 4 times .

Visit visas are granted to foreigners for the following purposes:

  • a. Tourism;
  • b. Family;
  • c. Social;
  • d. Art and culture;
  • e. Government duties;

02. VISITOR VISA FOR MULTIPLE TRIPS/ENTRIES

A multiple-trip visit visa is granted to foreigners with a visa validity period of 5 (five) years to stay in the Indonesian territory for a maximum of 60 days. This visa is granted to foreigners for the following purposes:

  • a. Family;
  • b. Social;
  • c. Art and culture;
  • d. Government duties;
  • e. Conducting business talks;
  • f. Making purchases of goods;
  • g. Attending seminars;
  • h. Participating in international exhibitions;
  • i. Attending meetings held by the head office or representatives in Indonesia; and
  • j. Continuing to travel to other countries.

03. VISITOR VISA ON ARRIVAL

A single entry visa issued at the airport immigration for the maximum stay of 30 days.

A visit visa on arrival is given to foreigners to stay in the Indonesian territory for a maximum of 30 days. This visa is granted to foreigners for the following purposes:

  • a. Tourism;
  • b. Family;
  • c. Social;
  • d. Art and culture;
  • e. Government duties;
  • f. Non-commercial sports;
  • g. Comparative studies, short courses and short training;
  • h. Carrying out emergency and urgent work;
  • i. Conducting business talks;
  • j. Making purchases of goods;

II. LIMITED STAY VISA

A limited stay visa is granted to carry out the following activities:

1. in order to work, including:

  • a. Duties as an expert;
  • b. Joining to work on ships, floating equipment, or installations operating in the territorial waters of the archipelago, the territorial sea, or the continental shelf, as well as the Indonesian Exclusive Economic Zone;
  • c. Carrying out duties as clergy;
  • d. Carrying out activities related to the profession by receiving payment;
  • e. Carrying out activities in the context of making commercial films and have obtained permission from the authorized agency;
  • f. Carrying out quality control of goods or production;
  • g. Performing inspections or audits on company branches in Indonesia;
  • h. After-sales service;
  • i. Installing and repairing machines;
  • j. Performing non-permanent work in the context of construction;
  • k. Holding art, music, and sports performances;
  • l. Holding professional sports activities;
  • m. Carrying out treatment activities; and
  • n. Prospective foreign workers who will work in the framework of testing expertise.

2. Outside of work purposes, including:

  • - Conducting foreign investment;
  • - Participating in scientific research and training;
  • - Following education;
  • - Family union;
  • - Repatriation; and
  • - Senior foreign tourists.

This limited stay visa is granted for the longest period of time:

  • a. 2 (two) years;
  • b. 1 (one) year;
  • c. 6 (six) months;
  • d. 90 days; or
  • e. 30 days.
